Excelsior Food Pantry
Located at BHNC’s Excelsior Community Center at 4468 Mission Street in the Excelsior District, BHNC staff, community volunteers and Youth Program participants distribute food from the San Francisco Food Bank to over 450 people each Wednesday afternoon. Youth pantry volunteers receive community service hours for their participation along with customer service and cross-cultural conflict resolution training. Food recipients receive orientation in their preferred language (Cantonese, Spanish or Tagalog) prior to enrolling in the Excelsior Food Pantry.
If you are in need of food or know someone who is, please note that recipients for this program are selected only once per year. Please check back at this space to find out when the next enrollment will be taking place, or contact Anahita Modaresi, Director of Youth and Employment Programs: amodaresi@bhnc.org | 415-206-2140 x153.
