Summary: Job Summary: This position reports directly to the Organizing Director. The Community Development Coordinator performs a variety of tasks related to planning and implementing BHNC’s Community Development work including but not limited to Community Convener, BHNC’s Congress, Tenant Organizing the Public Housing in Bernal Heights and all of BHNC’s properties, Coalition building, and tracking the progress of various advocacy efforts in which BHNC is involved. Housing Director

Summary: Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Housing Director performs a wide variety of tasks related to the creation and preservation of a broad range of affordable housing opportunities, and initiates and oversees BHNC’s housing development work. The Housing Director initiates development projects and pulls together the partnerships, funding resources and community support to make these projects a reality. Conceptualizing the strategies for building community through creating and preserving affordable housing, assessing the feasibility of these ideas and strategies, and then leading the implementation of these strategies form the nucleus of the Housing Director’s responsibilities. The Housing Director also staffs the Housing Committee of the BHNC board and is the lead in representing BHNC for housing issues. This position directly supervises two Project Managers and one Assistant Project Manager, and coordinates closely with the Asset Manager.
